SEO Scientific · Indexability Scoring

The first score that has to be right.

Every other number you chase-content, speed, backlinks, rankings-only pays off after the machines can reach, read, and trust the page. If they can’t, the best content on earth is publishing into a void. Indexability scoring puts that foundation on the record, page by page, so nobody gets to guess and nobody gets to hide.

It’s not a one-time audit. It’s an ongoing scorecard that keeps the developer honest, keeps WEBPRO engaged, and keeps you informed the whole way. We don’t hand you a number and vanish. We read it back to you and tell you what to do next.

Why we built this

Most developers hang a dark veil between themselves and the client. This is us pulling it down.

Complacency is a disease you’ll find in every workplace, and development is no exception. Marketers and developers keep a barrier of mystique between what they do and what the client is allowed to see. The site is a black box, the work is a secret, and the client is told to just trust it. We think that’s backwards, and we think it’s where sites quietly go to die.

An Indexability Score is the cure for that. It’s not a one-time report you file and forget. It’s an ongoing event, a running scorecard that keeps the developer honest and gives you a roadmap you can actually read. It keeps WEBPRO engaged with your site and keeps you informed about what’s happening under the hood, month after month.

Whether your content reads well or reads badly is almost academic next to this. Structure is the keystone. Relevancy and density come next. A page can be beautifully written and still be invisible, and no amount of good prose fixes a foundation the machines can’t stand on. That’s why this has to be a real partnership between you and WEBPRO, not a wall with an invoice taped to it.

This is what a scored page looks like.

Every page gets graded on the things that decide whether it gets indexed. Here is one, with the checks that drove the number.

The number is the headline

One score from 0 to 100 tells you at a glance whether a page is safe, slipping, or invisible. No wading through a crawl report to find out a page never had a chance.

Green is not the goal, honest is

The checks show what is working and what is not. This page reads fine and is allowed in, but two thin spots are capping the score, so we know exactly what to fix next.

Every check maps to a fix

A warning or a fail is not a mystery. Each line points at a specific problem with a specific repair, so the score is a to-do list, not a grade you just have to live with.

You watch it move

Fix the missing markup and add the internal links, and the number climbs. The score is how you prove the work landed instead of hoping it did.

Same page, two futures. One gets found, read, and counted. The other sits on your server looking great and getting ignored. The score is how you tell them apart before the crawler does.

Why the number alone isn’t enough

A score you can’t read is just a lab report nobody explained.

Think about the last time a doctor handed you a blood panel. You see triglycerides, calcium, a dozen numbers with ranges next to them, and you have no real idea what you’re looking at. The report is what it is. It’s accurate, and it’s useless to you on its own.

A good doctor doesn’t just hand you the page. They read it back to you, tell you what’s high and why it matters, and prescribe the structure, the diet, the changes that actually move it. Plenty of patients ignore the advice, and that’s on them. The real failure is a doctor who leaves you holding a page of numbers with no idea what to do next.

The raw report

Here’s your number. Good luck.

This is what most tools and most agencies give you. A score, a pile of flagged issues, and a dashboard you have to decode alone.

The report, read back to you

Here’s what it means and what we do about it.

This is WEBPRO. We break the number down, tell you what’s dragging it, and hand you the plan-in order, in plain language.

  • Fix the 14 canonical conflicts first; they’re splitting your strongest pages.
  • Wire the 31 orphaned URLs back into the site so the crawler can reach them.
  • Clear the render-blocking so the machine sees real content, not an empty shell.

We’re here to help a site get better, not hand you a chart and prematurely bury it.

What goes into the score

Six things that decide whether a page gets read.

Indexability is not a vibe. It is a set of specific, checkable conditions. We test each one on every page, weight them by how much they actually matter, and roll them into the score.

01

Crawl access, good bots and bad

Is the crawler even allowed here, and is it one you want. We make sure the bots that matter get a clean path in, while scrapers and spam bots aren’t burning the crawl budget you need for real pages.

02

Render and load

Does the real content show up without a browser running scripts to build it. If the machine sees an empty shell, the page scores like an empty shell.

03

Canonical and duplication

Is this page the one true version or a copy pointing somewhere else. Muddy canonicals split your signals and bury the page you meant to rank.

04

Internal links

Can the crawler reach the page by following links, and do enough pages point to it to say it matters. Orphan pages score low for a reason.

05

Structured data

Is the meaning marked up so the machine can parse it, not just read it. Missing markup leaves the page readable but not fully understood.

06

Content signals

Is there enough real, current substance for the page to count as worth keeping. Thin or stale pages get scored down before they drag the rest with them.

This is what WEBPRO does for you

Semrush will sell you an expensive subscription and a dashboard most people can’t read. Where’s the fun in that?

You didn’t get into business to decode crawl logs and canonical tags. So don’t. We do the mechanical work, all of it, and we send you progress reports in plain language you can actually act on. You drive your business. We keep the machines able to read it and tell you how it’s going. Wouldn’t that be nice for a change?

1

We do the mechanical work

The crawls, the logs, the fixes to canonicals, orphan pages, blocked resources, and missing markup. The tedious part is ours.

2

We report progress in plain English

No jargon dump, no dashboard to decode. Just where the score stands, what moved it, and what we’re doing next.

3

You run your business

You stay focused on the thing you’re actually good at while we keep the foundation sound underneath you.

How we measure it

The score is not a guess. It is tied to what the crawlers actually do.

Anyone can hand you a checklist. We tie the score to real behavior, pulling from crawl logs, index coverage, and how AI systems treat your pages, then track the number over time so you can see the work paying off instead of taking it on faith.

Crawl logs, not assumptions

We watch what the crawlers request and what they skip, so the score reflects real access instead of what should happen in theory.

Index coverage checks

We confirm which pages actually made it into the index, then trace the ones that did not back to the reason.

Tracked month over month

Every fix moves the number, and you see the trend line, so a rising score is proof the work is landing.

Your Indexability Score isn’t a button anyone can mash. A real person here runs it, by hand, on your actual site, and sends you the number with what’s dragging it down and what to do about it.

The price of admission is simple. Read the book. Scroogled is the whole argument for why this matters, and once you’ve got it, you already understand what we’re measuring and why. Then we look at your site.
